Partnership With Parents
Parents - Partnership With Parents
We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.
Our aim is to support parents as their children's first and most important educators by involving them in their children's education and in the full life of the setting by:
- We consult with all parents to find out what works best for them.
- We ensure ongoing dialogue with parents to improve our knowledge of the needs of their children and to support their families.
- We inform all parents on a regular basis about their children's progress either formally and informally.
- We inform parents about relevant conferences, workshops and training on our notice boards.
- We welcome the contributions of parents, in whatever form these may take.
- We like to work in partnership with the parents and welcome any parent/carer who wishes to spend time with us in the nursery.
- Working and communicating with parents to ensure that the transition from nappy to toilet training goes smoothly for the child.
Uniform
Parents - Uniform
We have a uniform for all children from 2 upwards, which consists of a purple sweatshirt, white polo shirt and black jogging bottoms/leggings. If you would like to order a uniform please speak to a member of staff.
Equality and Diversity
Parents - Equality and Diversity
Our setting is committed to valuing diversity by providing equality of opportunity and anti- discriminatory practice for all children and families. We aim to:
- Provide a secure environment in which all our children can flourish and in which all contributions are valued
- Include and value the contribution of all families to our understanding of equality and diversity
- Provide positive non- stereotyping information about gender roles, diverse ethnic and cultural groups and people with disabilities
- Improve our knowledge and understanding of issues of anti- discriminatory practice, promoting equality and valuing diversity; and
- Make inclusion a thread that runs though all of the activities of the setting.
